RIP Mani, you will be missed. You were the greatest bass player. I hope your family and close friends can remember your positivity and humour to get them through their loss. 💔

God Bless you Mani. I didn’t know you but as a 17 year old in 1989 blown away by the Roses, I feel like I’ve known you all my adult life and have lost a family member. Rest in peace x

On behalf of myself, and my wife, Mancs for the memories Gary (AKA Mani). You soundtracked our lives. I was introduced to the music of the Roses in 89 by a school friend, who shared his headphones, (as we did back then), he was playing this funky new groove called Fools Gold. We were obsessed with that bass line! I later went on to meet my future wife, our shared love of the Roses cemented our relationship. We had children to your music, walked the aisle to Where the Angels Play, played you at our wedding dinner and danced into the small hours afterwards. I’m sure many others have similar tales, we thank you for making the world a better place, no tears though, travel well brother, One Love, Sean and Marlene 💙💚❤️🙏

I didn't know Gary but very much felt that I did through his wonderful music and the interviews in magazines and on TV. The world's not that nice and when we lose obviously great people like Gary and other heroes like Joe Strummer , who spread so much positivity , it feels like a light has gone out.
